Project Overview
The Oracle of Place is a living research project rooted in the landscape and community of Kington, Herefordshire. Through ritual, storytelling, and creative collaboration, we are exploring how local folklore and collective memory can renew our sense of connection, belonging, and wellbeing. By weaving together academic insight and creative practice, this work seeks to create a vibrant new model for cultural and community renewal.
Everyone aged 18 or over with a personal connection to Kington is invited to take part, in whatever way feels right for you.

Why This Work Matters
This project celebrates the ways ritual, folklore, and community creativity can help us reconnect, with the land, with each other, and with the stories that shape who we are. Together, we’re weaving a brighter sense of belonging and possibility, rooted in the living spirit of Kington and open to all who are curious to join the journey.
