Accessibility Statement
At the Oracle of Place, we are committed to making this website and all research participation as accessible and welcoming as possible for everyone in the community.
Our Commitment
We believe that everyone should be able to access, enjoy, and participate in the Oracle of Place, regardless of ability, technology, or experience. We are continually working to ensure that our website and content are inclusive and usable for all visitors.
What We Are Doing
Our site is designed with clear text, strong colour contrast, and straightforward navigation. Images include descriptive alt text where possible. Content is written in plain, accessible language. We avoid flashing or strobing visuals. The website is built to be compatible with screen readers and keyboard navigation. We aim to provide transcripts or captions for audio and video content where relevant.
Research Participation
If you would like to take part in the research but have concerns about accessibility, for example, if you find written forms difficult, would prefer to participate in a different format, or need any other adjustments to how an interview is conducted, please get in touch. We will do our best to accommodate your needs and ensure participation is open to everyone.
The Participant Information Sheet is available on this website and can be provided in an alternative format on request. Please contact Rebecca Burns to discuss your needs.
Ongoing Improvements
We are always learning and open to feedback. If you encounter any accessibility barriers on this site, or if there is content you would like in a different format such as large print, audio, or easy-read, please let us know and we will do our best to help.
