Take Part in a Story-Led Interview
If you have stories, memories, or knowledge of Kington and its everyday places, I would love to hear from you.
Story-led interviews are at the heart of this research, and every conversation helps build a richer picture of what makes Kington the place it is.
What is a story-led interview?
A story-led interview is simply a conversation, a chance to share your memories and experiences of local places in your own words and at your own pace.
There are no right or wrong answers, and you are always in control of what you share.
Interviews last approximately 30–60 minutes and can take place in person at a quiet public location in Kington, or online via Microsoft Teams, whichever feels most comfortable for you.
What will we talk about?
The conversation will focus on your personal experiences of places in and around Kington such as streets, routes, landmarks, shops, open spaces, or everyday spots that hold meaning for you.
You might share a memory, describe a favourite walk, talk about how a place has changed, or simply tell me what a particular spot means to you.
You don't need to prepare anything in advance. There is no script, and the conversation can go wherever feels natural.
How will my interview be used?
With your consent, interviews will be audio-recorded and used to produce a transcript for research analysis.
Your stories may also, with your separate, explicit consent, be used in creative outputs such as the oracle card guidebook or a community exhibition.
You will always be asked about these uses separately, before anything is decided. Nothing will be shared publicly without your agreement.

There's no pressure to read these before getting in touch, you're also very welcome to just drop me a message and ask questions first. The documents will be sent to you again before any interview is arranged.
What Happens Next?
Once you submit, I will be in touch, within 5 working days - often sooner, to introduce myself properly, answer any questions, and talk through what the interview would involve.
If you decide you would like to go ahead, I will send you the full Participant Information Sheet and Consent Form before we arrange anything.
You are free to change your mind at any point, and submitting this form places no obligation on you whatsoever.
